Due to an immense inbox, many companies have decided to
digitize their inboxes.
Especially when receiving invoices, there is the challenge of mapping different formats while maintaining the same quality.
There are
different approaches here to digitally record the incoming invoices to feed the
existing ERP system with the important data records. Most companies rely on an
OCR solution outside of their ERP system.
But we are sure: XML mapping is completely possible in SAP!
For example, vendor and item data can be read out at item level. Due to
recurring processes and patterns, Artificial Intelligence supports algorithms
so that ZUGFeRD and XRechnungen can even be mapped within SAP.
The advantages are apparent:
- There is no need for recognition training or OCR recognition outside of SAP.
- Extensions can be flexibly adapted taking master and movement data into account.
- Future invoice formats can be expanded with simple ABAP programming.
